My ankles 4 days after getting speed skates for the first time
Post Body

I’ve been rollerblading for 5 months using urban skates and decided to get my first pair of speed skates to use them when I go to a 32 mile paved trail.

I spent the first 3 days doing short distances back and forth trying to get used to no ankle support. Today I woke up and decided I’ll go skating and try to get a longer distance done. I did 2 miles out and 2 back. I could feel the edge of the boot scratching against my ankles but it was a lot worse on the first 3 days so I expect this to start happening less as time goes by.

Any tips is appreciated.
