Recursive Metamorphosis

How feasible would it be for a metamorphic arthropod to evolve the ability to metamorphose back and forth between larval and post-larval forms? Is there any scenario you can think of where this would be beneficial? The only one I can think of would be a seasonal shift, but most arthropods only live one year and so would not benefit form this anyway.
