Can B-type stars that experience a mass transfer support complex life on a hypothetical super earth in the habitable zone?

Could a Hypothetical B-type star thatโs slightly less massive then Regulus but experienced a near identical Mass transfer which is allowing it to live around one billion years just like regulus have a higher chance of complex life evolving on a hypothetical super earth planet in the habitable zone compared to a regular B-type star?
