I recently moved back to Los Angeles, so back to a toxic relationship with Spectrum hahaha. We only do internet service but signed up for like the plan before 1gb. The speed varied so much, which we expected. But devices kept getting dropped from the wifi. Its a router that has wifi6. I thought, let me just upgrade to 1gb because it's only 20 bucks more a month. They sent me a new cable modem, the exact same model as the old one haha. It was performing was with the upgraded top tier plan. My partner said that Spectrum has a 15 device limit per router which is annoying because everything connects to WiFi nowadays. We bought a Netgear Nighthawk Wifi Router and are sooo happy now. The speed has gone up so much and no more dropping of devices. I feel some freedom from the shackles of Spectrum haha. Short version, I will always use my own router moving forward hehe.
