To me my sheer anger and dismay many people without skill have been rising through the rankings by relying on gimmicks In fact the majority of people in A rank seem to be using these gimmicks so I now decided to profiteer a guide here for all on how to counter the most common gimmicks in the game. I have since lost all respect for players who use these gimmicks characters on their team.

1 Giants

• Probably the most sure fire strategy against giants is Master Roshi himself. Using his lightning release attack gets easy and consistent damage on giant characters. And they also have no defense against it they can’t block it and are too slow to dodge it at a certain distance. Any other unblockable ki super should also work here. Just spamming this works like a charm.

• the downward slam attack that giant players spam can be blocked by using up and guard button. It comeplety negates it.

• the charge that giant characters do when they are in sparking mode requires distance if you are close enough to them the charge will not do any damage even if it connects.

• the sweet spot is near a giants feet for the most you can charge and attack freely if your at a giants feet. And the only attack they can use to hit you is the downward slam attack.

2 Androids (Specifically Dr Gero and Android 19)

• the only dangerous thing about them is the grab which they can spam with little consequence due to the their super armor ability. And players with no skill attempt to do exactly that.

• for this you can easily counter it by holding perception and guard button at the same time. It will block their melee attacks and the guard attack.

• After you successfully block the android throw they leave themselves open immediately afterwards that is your window to do a short combo and then go back to spamming the guard button. Just rinse and repeat until their super armor is gone and then you can fight normally again.

• you can also counter grab them to do a clash and if you win the clash that leaves themselves open immediately to do a big attacks or rush combo.

3 Yajirobe

• The infamous infinite heal on Yajirobe. Honestly the best sure fire strat here is to go for a time out. Yajirobe isn’t a dangerous character just a unlikable one lol. However his teammates are not.

• if you kill one of his teammates you can just go for a time out whenever the opposing player has less team members than you do. Then you can just fight Yajirobe until time runs out and you will win automatically.

• other than that I have also found that spamming master roshi lighting release also tends to work on Yajirobe players too. Most aren’t skilled enough to dodge it since they tend to rely overly on blocking and perception neither of which will stop that attack.
