So I was making a delivery today and I noticed while I was making trips to the front door to place the groceries the neighbor (gigachad guy) next door came to the edge of his yard and was making hard eye contact with me as I was placing groceries and heading to my car for more. I had to make like 3 trips back and forth and I could tell he was waiting for something. So as soon as I was done he was like âSo you guys donât knock when youâre done?â There it was. I didnât knock on the door and he jumped on that confrontation instantly. I said âNo, I donât knock unless they request it in the app.â He said âThatâs shittyâ and then walked up to knock on the door himself. For one, they didnât tip so Iâm not going out of my way unless they ask. Two, a lot of the orders I have are specific if they want a knock on the door or not. Three, this guy wasnât even the customer so itâs not his business, especially if he doesnât know what heâs talking about.
So should knocking on doors be a default thing unless they say otherwise?
Edit: Appreciate all the comments and suggestions! I didnât realize knocking was in the T&C and it states it almost in an optional type way in the actual app. Also didnât realize this would bother the Spark Police, apologies đ
