Which Spanish Dialect would to Learn?

Post Body

I know it doesn't really matter, but I'm very curious to see what others would do because I'm a huge overthinker and overanalyzer.

I live in the United States, where the most common dialect of Spanish is Mexican. My stepdad is also from Mexico. I also really love listening to Mexican music and listen to it almost daily. This makes the most sense to lean towards.

However, my biological dad is from (and currently lives in) El Salvador. He and my mom divorced when I was a baby, so I was never exposed to much Salvadoran culture other than from my Uncle (bio dad's brother stayed in the US). Now I'm almost 28 years old now and recently had a huge boost in learning more about my Salvadoran side and plan to maybe even make a trip to El Salvador one day.

I have not learned much of any specific dialect of Spanish and right now I'm realistically probably around a mid (maybe high) A1 level. What would you do?

Comments

Maybe I'm crazy but I want to learn three dialects, Argentine, Spain Spanish, and Mexican. When I speak I often do certain things from the different dialects.

My gracias I do with the Th sound, I say sos and vos and a lot of the slang I know is Mexican Spanish.
