A question on SpaceX and Starlink
Post Body

I am enamored with watching the developments with SpaceX. I feel a real kinship with Elon on the whole frontier of space and development.

I simply though don't have the experience or knowledge to truly grasp all of what is going on...

I have heard that one of the major ways that SpaceX will affect/effect us in modern times is the development of the "Starlink" system.

This is a system that as far as I can gather will provide very fast internet and smart phone plans at a very reasonable price.

This will allow many that are in poverty and or low income to have more access to information and a real stepping stone in the chance of a better life and development/participation in the modern world.

In Canada the average smart phone plan is around $65-75 CDN monthly with some as high as $100-125 CDN.

In the context of Canada what kind of price range could we begin to see and what kind of data speeds/usage allowances would we see?

This is kind of both a theoretical and practical discussion and I really hope it brings out those of you that are very knowledgeable and love to help enlighten/educate us that are not so informed :)
