I have a round trip reservation reserved for me and my wife using points . Wife’s ticket is companion pass ticket. We get 4 upgrades to business select per year with our Chase Southwest Priority card. I need to use this benefit before it expires for the year. I tried to upgrade my ticket and since I purchased the ticket with points, it appears to charge additional Pinot for the upgrade. I know if I bought my ticket with cash, I would be refunded because of the benefit. But my question is if I proceed with the upgrade will I be refunded the points deducted for the upgrade? What about the companion ticket? Thanks for any help or advice .
