Gorgeous day today at the Edwin B. Forsythe Refuge in Galloway, NJ. Today I saw 1 medium sized blue crab sidewalking through shallow water; two separate, solitary swans, in two different sections of the refuge (swans usually come in pairs). Also saw 1 bald eagle & 1 yearling which raced past my car. The deer was too fast & the eagle was too far to get a picture with my phone. There were the usual amount of herons, egrets & cormorants. As well as assorted diving birds. The turtles were sunning themselves, the tiny crabs were running amok in the mud and the hibiscus were in full bloom. And yes, I realize the first picture looks fake, but I assure you it was just my iPhone with no filter. The sun location and my hand slightly shaking probably helped.
