Modeling Question: Double Sided/Textured Planes (tree foliage)
Post Body

I've started making my own models using 3ds Max. It took me a while to work out all the bugs and figure out the process, but I've made a few models and got the method down. I want to make my own tree/foliage models, but I've run into a snag. Most tree models use a plane for the areas where the small branches and leaves go. My problem is that the texture I use only shows up on one side of the plane in Hammer/in game. If I'm making the model in 3ds Max, I can tick the 2-sided box in materials section and it works like I want it to when I render it, but that option doesn't translate to the model I'm using in game. I don't know if I solve this in 3ds Max, in the .qc file, or the .vmt files. I've tried looking this up on Google, but couldn't find anything on it. I had a hard enough time trying to find info on just making a generic model. What could I be doing wrong here?
