Recording full band
Post Body

I’m wanting to record a full band demo and am looking for some opinions of how I should go about that. I have access to a Neumann TLM102 studio condensor vocal mic, Line Audio CM4 Cardio Condenser instrument mic and a room with acoustic treatment.

My current plan is to rough out a guide track with a click and guitar on my computer and get the drummer to listen to that to record and then same for the vocalist. Then for recording guitar and bass I’ll put on probably just the drums through the headphones. I’m recording into Ableton and also not sure if I wanna DI the bass and guitar.

What are some things I may have forgotten to get this to run as smoothly as possible?

Thanks!
