“Trying to control this computer.”

I got a message today on my MacBook saying “Soulseek is trying to control this computer through (something, something.)”
I instinctively clicked on “Do not allow.”
Is this bad?
Does it mean someone is trying to download files I’ve shared? Did I make a mistake?
I’m a new user, so all info is appreciated. Thanks!
