Right-click menu rarely working, SoulseekQT on Ubuntu

So this has been going on for a month I want to say. double tap on touchpad and right-click with my mouse is generally doing nothing, sometimes flashing the shortcut menu, and sometimes shows the menu, but only like 5% of the time if that. I can't figure out why, and my client is up-to-date. Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone know a fix?
