So I've been diving into spirituality since late 2019/2020. I'm someone who is very open minded and mentally adaptable whenever I'm not being stubborn. I can view both sides of an argument or debate. Sometimes I don't have a side. Sometimes I have theories that even I don't fully support or subscribe to, I'm just trying to make sense of the world.
But recently I have ran into a bit of a dilemma. Theres this sub called r/EscapingPrisonPlanet They have some interesting concepts and theories. Some like "dont go to the light at the end of th tunnel". Or some think things like Karma, duality, etc are "New Age" concepts and illusions. Sounds ridiculous right? Duality is everywhere.
Now I can understand if some of the spiritual scene has been hijacked by people who put too much emphasis on Astrology, even tho I find Astrology interesting and helpful. Or people who use crystals and inscents.
One of my questions is, what is the overall message or point of "New Age" spirituality vs, ig just regular or Traditional Spirituality? I need to hear some differences. I don't want to be misled or deceived. I seek the closest thing to the truth.
So many people obsessed with life after death and things like reincarnation and past lives. There are things we cannot grasp, as we are a part of the living. I cannot remember anything from my "past life". I guess my memory was "wiped". Supposedly there are evil creatures among us who are meant to deceive us in numerous ways.
How much does the spiritual world matter if I can't access it? If I cant astral project. If I cant remember my "past lives". I use these quotations bc idk what to believe. A part of me wants to stop associating with spirituality and just live and evolve. Meditate, be a good person, live healthily and be the best I can be. I do somewhat believe in reincarnation and I do not want to come back here.
I want to live as close as to how monks live and buddhism. I want to be free of my trauma. I want to heal. I want my body to be light and not weight down by any unresolved issues. I want to embrace my creativity. I want to express myself freely. I want to understand the goal of the divine feminine and the divine masculine.
So tell me, what has been your experience with spirituality, and what conclusion have you come to?
Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
