XM4 battery level stays %100 all the time!

I just got the headphones today and it came with 0 charge out of the box. faded it for well over 5 hours and it still indicates full battery. I plugged it in and its been like 30 mins with the red light on. Is the battery defective or something? Should â €I get a replacement?
