Limme just say Kishimoto-San is so sweet and very nice.
He's actually quite adorable.
We took selfies and all!
He told me a bit about the development of Sonic Frontiers but its nothing new we haven't heard, but I did ask him a bit of questions, just picked his brain a bit.
Nothing serious, just questions and what he thinks about the sonic series.
He thinks the Sonic series is very important to gaming and is a series that will be around for a very long time even after he's done but he wants to stick with creating sonic games as long as he's able because he deeply enjoys it.
His Favorite character is Sonic.
He prefers platforming and exploration more for sonic than pure action.
I asked him what does he think about a sonic arena fighter game like Naruto Storm from Bandai Namco CC2. Sonic has ton's of friends and foes I think it'll be very doable if possible, what do you think?
He said:
That is actually a interesting idea. I never played Naruto Storm series but I have seen it, that would be very interesting for sonic, maybe I can purpose that and see what everybody thinks for a spin-off title *laughs*
I asked him what do you think about a Sonic RPG? Like Sonic Dark brotherhood.
I would love to play a sonic rpg with a great story.
He Said:
I think Sonic could work very well with RPG elements, like turn base? Sonic is different from other platformers where he can branch out easily and make it work, sonic is able to have deep stories that players seem to enjoy. I would love to create a Sonic RPG if given the opportunity!
My Last question was
Do you think its possible to bring back the sonic riders series? it was a very unique racer compared to kart racing games and many fans in the west love it, there is even a whole fan made creation of it for people to get together and race.
He was very shocked.
He said:
Wow I didn't know so many loved the sonic riders series. I haven't personally worked on any of the rider series but I do know about it. The last one was free riders.I should check it out when I get home!
((He didn't say if it was possible to bring it back or not))
We talked a bit more about sonic frontiers and how excited I was and that made him happy.
And that's it!
I didn't want to hog all his time since there were lots of people excited to meet him!
Oh and I got to try frontiers again but on switch! It runs great, stable 30fps without dropping from what I've played.
I won't be getting it on switch but people that are, you got nothing to worry about.
