Is it okay to just stick to C major?

Post Body

I am learning to write, and find that since I play keyboard, it helps to play in C major. I am mainly trying to slowly build my vocabulary of chord movements and options, and find anytime I switch keys, it's hard to translate what I know, but then at the same time, sometimes I find new stuff by accident.

So I guess what I am asking is what's a better method.

Sticking to C major until I feel like I've trult mastered it, then translating my skills to other keys?

Or

Constantly mixing up keys and dealing with more confusion now, but slowing honing these skills in every key?
