Trigger warning. I have a song idea and the punchline to to the song/title is “suicide mountain” I haven’t exactly gotten the lyrics down yet but the idea is an upbeat song about heartbreak and the character talking about a mountain with the nick name suicide mountain. I’ve listened to many songs that dance with the idea of suicide and have always enjoyed them because it’s such a taboo subject but I think it’s important to have those kind of songs. If someone is going through a tough time and there’s a song about it I just think it gives emotional support to make people feel less lonely and less out of touch. So my question is, is it bad taste to write about it? I’m not making the song graphic and in fact the most graphic word would be “suicide”.
