Just moved into AVA Somerville at Assembly Square and quickly realizing that the whole area is designed to take your money. I’m looking at all the shops and I feel my wallet floating away like a balloon. I’m 50 and I’m aware of the basic ways to save money but I want to go further - I’m looking for ideas, resources, references for going hardcore into a money-saving, frugal living lifestyle related to consumer goods, like groceries, services, restaurants. Trying to figure out how to live here and still find a way to partake in the local scene without going broke!
