Change layer of individual lines in assembly drawing view
Post Body

I have never used layers in SolidWorks much so I could use the help of someone who has. I'm trying to change the outline of assembled components in various views to a layer with different line settings. Basically I want to highlight some components by making their profiles a little thicker, but leaving the party detail alone. I feel like I should be able to click on any line and go to Change Layer to specify the new layer. But what happens is the whole body in all views changes to the new layer, and the line thickness doesn't change. I verified that line style, thickness, and color are all set to default, so they should pick up the new layer settings. I'm also using the Edges selection filter, so I'm sure that I'm selecting lines and not surfaces. What am I missing?
