I've recently hit 115k on Some Assembly Required, so I figured it was about time I actually posted it here. Sooo, shameless plug, ahoy! AO3 | FFN

Summary: The Herald and the Prophet. Earthlings. To make it in this new world, they will have to work together. And not die. The Prophet's convinced that everything the universe over is trying its best to prevent just that. The not dying part, that is. There's no such thing as coincidence and more than one person's doing the creeping. Keep your friends close and your sketchy, elfy mentors closer.

At least they understand each other's jokes.

It's rated Explicit on AO3 and Mature on FFN, with my current intention for the latter to be edited down a little as I go to remove or tone down some of the more extreme themes (namely the gore and torture) and potentially any "unneeded" smut. Deeefinitely E on AO3 for the darker themes.

As it reads above, it's MG(s)iT themed, though neither of them are familiar with/have prior knowledge of DA - it's treated as it's own universe (that is, DA as a fictional creation does not exit). I don't intend to remain true to canon events - there are and will be a lot of divergences and alterations. I do, however, try to keep them within the spirit of DA, and it moves kind of along the familiar path of major events...currently. It's told mainly through the eyes of the Not-Inquisitor Prophet (Bevin) and our Most Beloved Egg (Solas). I take the writing seriously, but it's mostly a fun hobby for me. As such, I proofread as best I can, continuously (for the A03 version anyway, because I hate ffn's document system), and I do a lot of research for the big and little things. I <3 lore. I really enjoy experimenting with magic theory.

Romance-wise, it is a slooow burn. Like, at 115k in, the kindling is kind of starting to catch but it's still being relentlessly prodded and blown on to finally ignite. She's swimming down De Nile and Solas schemes to woo. In a switch from canon, he's much more the pursuer and a bit darker (hopefully not too OOC). I've seen some people around asking for such, but I'm not sure what to use as an AO3 tag for that, if any. Inquisitor/Cullen is a side/background pairing for the other MGiT (Nikki) - I waffle between tagging it and not tagging it.

I'm presently about halfway-ish through the next chapter (23) update. I do have a goal of having it out by the end of the month. I try to push at least one update or 8k words each month. My current project is platonic relationship/character development. I have so much planned that I don't want to spoil, and it's killing me. I'd say SAR is presently under halfway written having just gotten to Skyhold. That said, I'm totally willing to talk about story spoilers with those who want them. I do post them on my tumblr (with warnings), as well. I welcome comments and such (even if you just wanna talk about DA)! This is the first fic I've really committed to and intend to keep on. I know there's a lot of stuff that needs work. :)
