I got two free tesla power walls so i'm looking to piece together a solar setup around them.
I grabbed 26 550w panels (14.3 kw) and am looking at either a fronius 12.5 or maybe just splurge for the EG4 18 inverter.
the teslas can only handle 5kw each so 10kw total for input. my installer told me:
"The power wall 2 is limited to 5 kW of PV input, so for you, with two powerwall 2's, your maximum PV input is 10 kW. That PV system that you described won't always be producing at maximum, but during an outage at noon in the summer, your system will shut down the PV...and might injure your batteries."
is this really something i need to be concerned about? it seems silly. Also seems quite unlikely that these circumstances would all be met, coupled with my house not taking any draw.
would you be concerned?
Edit: my panels are technically 408w up to 142w bifacial gain which obviously isn't likely to hit the full 550
