Hi everyone \o
Theme
Our general theme for this rev is "modern," whether that be soulless industrial complex, too cool for school slick architecture, or space-age machinery. We've been flirting with a modern theme with our various end builds, and this time we'll take it overworld-side, too.
So, major blocks should involve the various stones, double stone slabs, ice, snow, quartz, and glass. This doesn't mean you can't use other blocks, though, if you're really feeling a cottage. Let the theme guide your design, not enforce it.
Location, location, location
We're going for the nether this rev. The respawnable dragon in the end would destroy our builds and kill our mobs, and the effort to build off the mainland would outweigh the utility of using the end in the first place.
If we don't find a nether portal, which is likely, we'll try to ask another town to build our overworld farms/builds near them.
The hope is to make a highly functional villager market, wither hunting farm, and what autofarms we can manage in the nether. Some have been thinking about developing nether spawn as well, which sounds awesome if we have the people who'll commit to it. Then we can design the area, organize spaces for towns to connect by road, and develop a rail station (such as DDOS).

Roads Boats
Boats are incredibly fast on ice, so we'll re-use the ice road theme we had rev 17 and incorporate an ice highway into our design. All that takes is a 3-wide ice road with guardrails, like carpet or slabs. Zburd has been working on a highway system as well.
Farms
On planning, we have an area in /warp r18farms that's collected our farm designs so far. Hopefully there'll be a complete collection over the weekend, including our upgraded carrot/potato farm, the classic Pumpâ„¢ tower, and cane/wheat towers. These all rely on water, so they'll need to be on the overworld.
Looking forward to playing with you guys this weekend in a brand-spanking new rev!
