I work in the software industry IRL, so maybe this is why i feel bad for my little virtual employees, but I was reviewing my support teams (which I usually start at low salaries) and noticed I had a few employees that had been with my company for over 10 years and still made a salary less than $2,800/mo. Compare this to my lead on my core team making $15k/mo, and we won't even talk about my founder who via royalties makes around $500k/mo
I sometimes wish I could just give them a large raise arbitrarily, or set minimum salaries for tenure (ex: employees who've been with me for 10 years make a minimum of 4k/mo)
