8U Coach Pitch Glove size question

Went to Play it Again Sports to find a used glove for my 7 year old daughter just discovering baseball. We found a 9.5" that seemed to fit well, but the guy there said for softball, you need at least a 10" glove or the ball won't actually fit in it.
She is a bit small for her age so I'm worried that they just don't make gloves that fit her hand that aren't intended for teeball. Can anyone help a completely lost Dad?
