Does the cola/diet cola taste more like Coke or Pepsi?

Coke, for those who don’t know, has notes of vanilla, while Pepsi has notes of citrus. I much prefer Diet Pepsi to Diet Coke.
I asked when SodaStream first hit the market what the cola flavor tasted more like, and everyone agreed Coke. But now SodaStream is a subsidiary of PepsiCo. So, does the diet cola taste like Diet Pepsi now?
