I was curious on people’s thoughts on Palmetto states concept firearms?Personally I am really excited for the 308 jakl, I’ve been waiting for it since the jakl came out. But the bullpup variant jakl and x57 caught me off guard.

Disclaimer: I understand Palmetto states politics, so just get excited when I see new cool things.

Halfway second this.

5.7 does seem to be kind of anemic for what it is and probably would have died a long time ago were it not for the P90. This isn't just me talking smack, Chris from LuckyGunner did a video recently and granted there wasn't much practical testing (which will probably be the next video in that series) but the conclusion was it was pretty "meh."

I wouldn't necessarily call it a "meme round," I think there's a case to be made for something that can at least get in the ballpark of 9mm with less recoil. I know at least two people who went with 5.7 for home defense firearms because they had trouble controlling a 9mm (both had mobility considerations) and 5.7 works well for them. It's a niche application, sure, but it does have some use.

I also wouldn't call 10mm a "meme round." Equivalent performance to .45 with a smaller bullet size. Probably right on .357 Sig tho.
