Let me first start by saying I'm not super versed on some of the language and my autism makes it difficult for me to focus sometimes so please understand if i make some errors. First off i was raised in a centrist household and being naturally inclined to skepticism and occasional philosophy as i got older i became more of a leftist and ultimately settled on the label "Social Democrat" For myself.
I was born in Canada and I've always had a distaste for the conservative party and it's former chud leader Stephen Harper but I've never really been able to effectively put it into words, lately though I've been browsing rational wiki which I've found seems to be a great tool for debunking conservative/capitalist grifters talking points and finally stumbled upon the term fiscal responsibility which i seem to recall is the phrase conservatives are OBSESSED with in canada.
The rare time i get curious and watch a debate that seems to be their only talking point that could appear convincing to the average apolitical dupe taxpayer. So to get to the actual point of my post, is there any good articles/books debunking this myth that the average reader like me would understand?
TLDR; I'm not the best at reading comprehension, explain deficit fetishism like I'm five.
