Does anyone have experience doing their placement at a men's shelter? I interviewed for a youth shelter in October for my jan-april placement. I accepted the offer, completed the paper work, and yesterday was told I'm at their men's shelter which only has clients 7pm-8am. They have me at the shelter mon- 8am - 3:30pm & Tuesday 6pm-11pm. These hours will not meet my 200 hour placement as indicated during my initial email, CV and school documents. They have offered to be flexible with hours in order to meet my 200 requirement. It's so late now, I don't know what to do. I am hoping this will still provide a decent learning opportunity but I can't shake the feeling that I've been deceived and this may not be an organization I want to work with.
Is this in CA? I would love to have placement from 6pm-8am! Perfect hours for me.
