On Feb 4th I received a letter from Social Security that my SSDI claim had been denied. I was of course upset with the result, but knew it was likely this would happen, at least at first.
Then this evening I checked my bank account online and discovered over 16,000 dollars had been deposited into my checking account by the SSA. WHF?
I logged onto the SSA website to see what the hell is going on and instead of a denial letter, I see a notice that my claim had been accepted on the 10th.
I of course have downloaded and printed that acceptance and the resulting Benefit Verification Letter, but am at a loss to understand what just happened.
