SSDI Medical Exam
Post Body

I just returned home from my SSDI Medical Exam and boy am I upset.

I have a number of conditions (Congestive Heart Failure, Stage 3 Kidney Failure (One kidney removed due to Renal Cell Carcinoma", as well as some neuropathy in my right hand. All complicated by long term (> 15 years) Type II diabetes.

My first clue should have been that this was with an Osteopath practicing from the office of a Chiropractor.

As requested I brought my current meds (A ton of them). As we went thru them and what they are for the "Dr" was constantly telling me that these meds were trash and I shouldn't be taking them. This includes the Insulin for my Diabetes. She then went on to criticize the diet that my Endocrinologist and Nephrologist have me on as trash, and suggested a High-Carb diet. Get that... a High Carb diet for a Diabetic!

There was practically no exam at all, simply telling me thru the whole event that everything my other doctors were doing is wrong and that I should ignore them.

I should note that my regular doctors are from one of the highest rated medical centers in the country, and have done wonders keeping me alive in the past year.

Now what? My future is dependent on what this doctor tells Social Security about my health. I'm almost afraid to complain because of this.
