Seeking Clarification: Original Documents or Printed Copies for Social Security Application?
Post Body

As an F-1 visa holder, I have applied for a social security number based on my offer letter. The website states that original documents, not photocopies, need to be presented. However, I am unsure if printed copies of the documents would be considered original or photocopies. Should I print the documents and show them, or should I obtain hard copies from my Designated School Official (DSO) and employer?

Furthermore, can I show them the soft copies of my i-20 and offer letter? I attempted to call them, but the estimated waiting time is currently two hours.

Thank you.
