Post Body

We were technically married only three years but our prenuptial agreement and our divorce agreement says that our alimony and marriage should be calculated for 10 years cause that's how long we cohabitated. it's in the legal documents and that's file through the court etc.

My question is, when the time comes for claiming Social Security will that be good enough for my partner to collect on my Social Security. Or even though it's in the prenuptial agreement and the divorce agreement would Social Security not approve that ? Still have around 20 years to figure it out but kind of want to figure it out sooner rather than later as my ex partner does not have enough work credits to collect
