So my oldest child (6f) was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism when she was 3. I tried talking to someone about whether or not she could get SSI (or SSDI, whichever one it is) because there are pieces of equipment we would like to get her to use at home to help with her ADHD and it would be nice if she could have services outside of school as well as in school. That being said, we were told we āmade too muchā (I think we grossed 34k that year?) and so we couldnāt file for her.
Now I canāt help but wonder if I didnāt advocate for her properly given that I gave up instantly. Does anyone know how this works or how I could find out if she might qualify?
