Need friends? Need an excuse to get out of the house? Just throw up a post like:

"Hey anyone want to grab drinks? The Austral, 6pm Wed. Look for the guy with the mohawk, answers to the name Jeff, I can talk your ear off about drone racing and AFL"

A couple of quick suggestions if you intend to participate here:

• Speak positively about yourself, eg. don't start a thread calling yourself a 'friendless loser' unless your goal is to keep people as far away from you as possible.

• Be proactive in creating, organising, inviting yourself to participate. Other people aren't going to do the work for you.

• Don't flake out. Make concrete plans and stick to them.
