What playing surface should I choose for my winter indoor league? Hard wood (basketball court) or a modern turf field?
Post Body

I'm signing up for a winter league and I have a couple options available.

  • 6v6 league that plays on a hardwood basketball court
  • 7v7 league that plays in a modern athletic facility with a super nice looking turf field. I don't know anything about what exact 'turf' surface it is.

I'm leaning towards the turf field, but it's 15 mins farther away (via subway) and requires me to get new turf shoes, I believe.

I'm wondering if there's any reason to consider signing up to play on the basketball court, maybe something I'm not considering? And finally I have a pair of Nike Mercurials with the full grass stud pattern...they won't work on the turf field right?

Also what kind of boots are people wearing in this and this pic? Are they wearing turf shoes? I thought one guy was wearing a full grass style stud pattern.
