I got some test results from doctor that my glucose and cholesterol were high for the first time. I took a look at myself and what I was doing. With a busy work schedule - stress eating saw me eating fast food almost daily and drinking with coworkers on almost a daily basis as well. I have cut back on fast food tremendously and having one or two drinks socially a week. There’s some weeks where I don’t want any , and others where I feel ok saying yes to one or two, but not making it my go-to beverage for meals.
The big catalyst for me was seeing that body breaks down alcohol as fat and triglycerides. So no wonder my numbers were elevated.
it’s probably the sugar from the alcohol that my body is missing, but I find myself wanting cookies and donuts and sugary drinks. I’m trying to keep my glucose in check too, but struggling. Will those cravings pass in the coming weeks?
