so, I've been alcohol-free for 93 days. i've had some NA beers here and there, mostly in the last month. I'd heard about NA rosé and wine - which I'd been missing especially in the last month. Last night, I got a bottle of NA rosé. I was excited! I poured a glass, and was for some reason surprised it didn't taste 100% like rosé - (maybe cause I'm used to NA beers tasting like beer), but this clearly had grape juice, lol. but what I found more telling was how quickly I drank the first pouring, as if it had real rosé. One of the reasons I wanted to quit is because I generally gulp down ANY drink - doesn't matter what it is. You can imagine this means I tend to go through 1 alcoholic drink pretty quickly.
I also realized that not only was I expecting it to taste like rosé, deep deep down I was sad that I didn't get a buzz, almost like I was subconsciously expecting it.
I probably won't buy a bottle of NA rosé/wine again. But wanted to share my experience and see if others relate, have had similar experiences or have some words of reflection here for what I experienced.
