Hi, friends!
So, I’ve just started getting my life back together and I’ve been approved by PT for walking and light hiking. I do prefer to go in the evenings and since my service dog will be with me, I would prefer to go once it cools down enough that he doesn’t need his booties. My doctor appointments and such are also always in the mornings anyways as I make sure I don’t hit traffic coming home. However, I almost always have to leave Moreno Valley for them, so I can meet up so long as it’s not too hot. The heat triggers my migraines and Odin is a black, medium length double coated boy.
Anyways - I have psychological and physical disabilities, but I want to start losing weight. I have just ballooned to an unacceptable weight and I’m unhappy with how I look and feel. I will be speaking with a dietician and nutritionist soon (just submitted my forms). I do PT 2x weekly. I make sure to do PT plus a mixture of Pilates and yoga at home daily along with massage and physical chores (I have so many projects going right now it is honestly awful). I just sanded a table I’m going to be refurbishing. I have a ton of metal work stuff. I have bead work stuff. I have tons of paints. I have a collection of cool cards (and a random act of cards I need to get around to). But, my main projects today are: paint the table, find dimensions for two things, and hopefully get a saw so I can start working on my floating shelves and dog platform bed.
But, I would really love to start walking every night again. I take Odin to the dog park in the mornings on days we don’t have early appts because he has a solid crew he’s known for over a year now. I’m also happy to carpool to drive to hikes so long as nobody minds that Odin will be with me. I would love to do a beach hike sometime soon. Maybe even see flower fields (but I’ll have my epi-pen in the case of bees). I would also really love to just start crafting again and.. in general start.. being more than what I have been.
Quick notes: The heat really impacts me and my dog. I am currently combating resurgence of agoraphobia and selective mutism (I use text, writing, and ASL) after a recent trauma and I am working with multiple specialists for this, but this means that I do not go out much. I don’t plan days in advance because my health can change in a moments notice. I am happy to Skype Or zoom or text for now and I ask that you be patient with me. You can go through my post history to see what’s been happening. I do plan to meet up. I just do so in short increments of time away from comfort zones right now. Again, I’m actively working on it. Also note that I’m fat and out of shape, so I’m #TeamSloth on hikes.
I would really really prefer women, especially around my age and older, but if I connect with a male (or whatever gender), I have no opposition to it. Even better if they have dog friendly dogs and/or do crafts! Nobody younger and no children. I’m sorry.
