BLUF: Changes are coming, unless someone above me on the mod list boots me. I am aware of the lack of account validation. It sucks. I'm working on it.

I would like to start off with an apology to all of the new users looking to verify. The moderator team has definitely failed our new users in keeping up with account validation process. Given our current requirements, we've effectively blocked all new users from being able to post in the sub.

I've reached out to the other moderators to help remedy this situation, but have yet to hear back from anyone. I have put a time box on their responses. If I hear nothing, I will take the steps to assume top moderator duties and will implement changes based on feedback from the community and my best judgement (some bias, but also a lot of experiences moderating other subreddits).

Please feel free to comment here, but do not ask when your account will be verified. Also, do not DM me asking when your account will be verified. Both will be ignored. It's a problem. I am aware of it. I am not going to verify the literal hundreds of requests that have gone ignored.
