First things first, I only have two requirements:

• Please be at least 18. While I'm not specifically looking for something "adult" here, I don't want to take any risks of being accused of being a weirdo.

• Please be local. I live in the northwest area of Orange County. I'd prefer not to have to drive more than 20, maybe 30 minutes to meet with you. Maybe you live nearby, maybe you visit the area often, maybe you're willing to travel, who knows? If you're too far away, I'm probably still willing to chat with you and maybe meet up once in a while, but it won't be a regular thing if the drive is too long for me.

With that out of the way, hi, my name is Matt. I figure it would probably be useful for me to expand my social life and my general life experiences, so here I am. I've tried meeting new people before and it mostly hasn't gone too well. The two offline friends I used to have moved away in recent years, so all my friends are online now. If you're looking for someone to spend time with in person, send me a message! Here are a few of my interests:

• Video games: as cliché as it is here on Reddit, this is my main hobby. I mostly play single player games with some co-op from time to time. I'm not into competitive gaming unless it's really casual. If you like single player or co-op games, let's hang out.

• Exercise: I'm not in good shape right now. Not that I'm terribly overweight, but given that my main hobby is gaming and I work over Zoom, I spend way too much time sitting. I've been doing some light exercises recently and I've seen small improvements, so I'd be interested in someone who can help me go farther, even if it's just by meeting up once in a while to keep my motivation going. Bonus points if you have a gym membership that will allow you to bring someone for free.

• Board games: Obviously I mean more complex games than just Monopoly or Parcheesi. This is a hobby I'm not currently in, but would like to be. I figure I'll pick things up quickly with how many RPG video games I play. I'd be happy to join a group or another individual as a new player or even just to watch and chat. I also have the Heroes of Might and Magic board game coming later this year thanks to Kickstarter, so if you have any interest in that, maybe we can play that together.

• Someone to introduce me to new things: Got an interesting hobby you like to share? Tell me about it! Just keep in mind I'm not particularly athletic, so something like mountain climbing is probably too much for me. I also probably won't be spending a lot of money just to try something for the first time. Maybe an escape room would be fun? I've never tried one of those before.

• Debate partner: I have a lot of ideas rolling around in my head. I like to challenge my own ideas by thinking about why they may be wrong, which I think would be easier if I had someone who potentially disagrees with me. No idea is off the table for me, no matter how radical or shocking it may be. Ideally you'd be the same way, but it's not strictly necessary. If you have limits, just let me know.

• Friends in general: Wanna just hang out and chat once in a while? Let me keep you company when you have chores to do? Tell me stories of your life, maybe complain when you have a bad day? Listen to me do the same? Any/all of the above, or maybe something else entirely? Let me know!
