My baby won’t sleep anywhere except my arms/a carrier. Feeling desperate - should I get the Snoo?

Post Body

Hi everyone. I’ve got a four week old baby who doesn’t sleep very well at all. Whenever I put her in her bassinet she’ll sleep for maybe 45 minutes max and then wakes up. I’ve tried all the tips and tricks - swaddling, warming her sleep space with a heating pad, making it smell like me, etc. I’ve even just spent two hours lying next to her (we’ve been trying a side car crib) and nursing her on and off and she still won’t sleep for more than a tiny stint. She sleeps very well in my arms or in her carrier.

All of this is leading me to want to get the SNOO out of pure desperation. I’m so sleep deprived that I’m worried I’ll fall asleep holding her in an unsafe position; that nearly happened last night. I’m in the UK where there’s a bit less of a market for them but I’ve found somewhere I can rent one for £123 a month.

I’m just wondering if anyone was in a similar situation to what I’ve described and whether it was worth it for you?

ETA: thank you all so much for sharing your thoughts!
