Hi! My 10 week old is sleeping really well through the night and had just recently started napping in the Snoo as well (instead of the carrier- my back just couldn’t take it anymore!) That said, the only way I can get her to sleep in the Snoo is if I lay her down aaaalmost asleep after a long breastfeeding session. This works for us, but everything online says to avoid nursing to sleep! Can anyone explain why this is discouraged, and also if you have any alternative tips or advice for weaning off nursing to sleep? The Snoo “soothing” functions hardly ever work for her, she just cries and cries if I don’t feed her to sleep.
It's not bad, it's just that later, they'll associate sleep with breastfeeding and you'll have to keep breastfeeding to get them to sleep. If that's okay and that's what works for you then no big deal, my baby is 14 weeks and still nursing to sleep. He's also starting to go through his "regression" so I'm not trying to make things harder by weaning him off of breastfeeding to sleep at the moment.
