Boa or Dwarf Retic?
Post Body

So I am planning on getting my first snake ever after hefty negotiations with family and I have settled on the fact that I want a larger species (but brought in as a baby so they can grow and I can work with them when young). However, after narrowing down to these two species, I’ve been immensely torn on which one I should set my sights on.

Both are large species that can give that very lovely “snake hug” type of feeling, and from what I have heard, both are fairly reasonable and simple when it comes to feeding and care, so I’m kind of…stuck?

Could anyone offer any advice on which might be a better choice for a first pet snake or which one might not be one as much? I’m willing to answer whatever questions needed, I just want to make sure that 1) I make an informed choice, and 2) I make sure I can provide whatever noodle I end up getting an amazing home.
