So I recently just bought some Vapormax 2.0s from Foot Locker, and during my first wear today found some flaws between the two that got more glaring as I looked further into it. I called Foot locker and they refuse to do anything about it, so now I have to speak to Nike. But before I do, I wanted to ask if anyone else had stories of their own about retail Vapormax QC issues.
The issues I've found so far:
The holes on one pair are smaller than on the other
The toebox shapes are different
The gap between the toebox holes to the sole of the shoe are inconsistent between the two
The shoelaces seem to be different in width
The shoelet has "Vapormax" text, but on the left pair the Vapor is in normal print while the Max is in bold print, while on the right pair the whole word is in Bold
This is all I've found so far now that I look at it closely, what threw me off all day was that the toeboxes were shaped differently when looking straight down at them. My cursory check of "fakes" seem to be okay, the wrapping paper has lettering, and the sole has the notches that some websites said to check. I'm no QC expert though.
So it's possible that either Nike has bad quality control, or I received a somewhat fake pair someone returned. Can anyone comment on their experiences?
