Says I'm friends with someone, can see their snap score, even says "remove friend" as an option... but they no longer show on my friends list and it says my snaps are pending until I add them as a friend.

Any idea what this means? Did they block me? Why does it still say that I am their friend, can still remove them and I can still search for them on Snapchat, but I can't send them snaps or messages, and they don't appear on my friends list itself?
I also noticed it says we have been friends since 10/8/21 but we have been friends for years
Edit: can't see their snap score anymore after re-logging, but they are still listed as my friend in their profile
