My snapchat got locked after being added to a random group

As the title says, I was added to a random group chat. No idea who these people were but once I noticed I immediately left. Upon leaving and trying to respond to another chat I was advised I had been locked out. I have no chance of an appeal and I have filled out that I believe I was compromised in some capacity but based on the email I was given from the automated email I have no chance to regain access.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there another group to connect with? Am I shit out of luck?
