In Assault are the gods randomized from all the Gods or just from your pool of Gods?

Settle a bet (more like a fight) for me. In assault I'm 90% sure that you only get Gods from your own pool of Gods but my friend SWEARS that it's all Gods. Now I've played about 50 games of Assault and have gotten 0 gods that were not a part of my pool.
Edit: He's now saying all of your answers are moot (useless) unless a HiRez employee says that it's true. QQ
