As a player on xbox, this happens in like 95% of my unranked games and maybe 50% ranked. Just had two people lock assassins and another two lock mages, so I just turned my xbox off instead of suffering through yet another excruciatingly terrible game of conquest. I feel bad when I do this because its kinda toxic, but every time i decide to just play in these shitty team comps it becomes immediately apparent we have no chance of winning. Yet teammates don't wanna surrender and we play a 40 minute game of 'charge mid and engage the enemy team alone and die'.
What blows my mind though is a lot of these people have just as many hours played as i do (400ish) if not more, and yet they still are clueless. I was subbing to this subreddit within a week of downloading the game and since then have spent many hours watching twitch streams, SPL, reading guides, and following discussion on here just trying to get better. Most other xbox players just wanna play their rank 10 god and do whatever the hell they want in conquest.
How do yall not rip your hair out playing with people that dont have the slightest clue? I love this game but its becoming so difficult for me to play it now since it seems like i always get people ignorant to even the most basic of meta game concepts on my team (and ofc the other team always feels like a group of well coordinated cyber athletes)
